Sorry! I apologize most sincerely and apologetically and worringly and sorringly and.... well, you get the idea, pretty much.

Errrr......

Let's say that I have a lot of stuff to speed this up to the current date... or rather today, if put simply.

So I stopped after March 28, eh?

Great, have to speed up a whole two months up with just one post.....

This is going to be sooooo long......

Let's see...

Nothing special happened until April.... errr... I think it was the 13th.

The math team went to someplace in Hartford, I think, and competed against the entire Connecticut schools that qualified to this round.

We got second place..... We deserved first!!!!!

Oh well.....

Then on April 24th and 25th.... God, those two were the most exciting, yet the most frustrating days ever.

You see, I probably told you.... though I don't think so.,,, I made it the USAMO (United Statesof America Mathematical Olympiad), where the top 500 scorersin the USA compete to the International team by being the top twelve.

The thing is, you have to take a 9-hour test to answer 6 questions.

....................................

That's right, I said 9-hours just to finish 6 questions!

So I have to stay in school for those two days with 4 and a half hourse on each day (12:30 - 5:00) and answer three questions each.

It was exciting to try to prove something by yourself.... but after the test was over, I didn't have much time to do my homework, which was the frustrating part.

Each question was a proof question and they grade you based on how well and how far you went to prove that statement. Each question can give you 0-7 points, depending on how well you explained.

So there is the high total of 42 points.

And I just recieved my score a week ago.

Guess what I got?

Nope, not a zero. (I'm positive that I would never get a zero).

IT was close, though.

I got a....

1.

Yes, you heard me. A 1.

Out of 42.

Thankfully, I beat other people.

Out of the 500 people or more, I beat at least

28 of them... which isn't bad, you know.

So I'm ranked about like 482nd to 422nd.

.......................I know that sucks...........

But it's better than 500th place, you know!

Ok, this is getting off topic. Where was I?

Oh, right.

On April 26th, the math team went to Rhode Island and competed against the entire New England region (including Maine, Massachuseets, Vermount, Rhode Island, Pennsylvannia, and so on).

We placed 7th.... not bad.

On April 29th, which was a Sunday by the way, I was celebrating....

For it was my birthday.

Now, I'm fifteen....yippee!

Though there isn't anything special about being fifteen.... is there?

Nothing much on May, beside May 21st and 23rd.

On May 21st, at 7:00 P.M., I went to school to go to something called The Math, Science, and Technology Award.

Guess what category I got awarded for?

You probably guessed it: Math

I took every award on the math section (there was four).

However, that was the only thing that I was awarded for (I wanted to be awarded for biology, you get a shark tooth fossil!)

But I guess things come and go.

There's nothing I can do about it, right?

Wrong.

I can make a time machine and make myself even more brilliant than before.

But if I had done that, than these events in which I didn't do so well at wouldn't be happening.

So I couldn't have made one.

Or....

I could have made one, I was just too smart, and thus realized that I would make a huge mistake if I went back in time.

Or.....

Someone else made one, but I was so disgusted that I didn't make it first that I committed suicide.

Or......

Probably a huge asteroid made contact with our planet and wiped everything out. No one would exist.

Or.......

There was a WWIII and every country blew up for some strange reason.

Or........

Maybe aliens came down to Earth and captured every single human alive! Then just killed them for fun.

Or.........

Maybe I just got to stop these wild imaginations running around my head... that is, if they have feet.

So, I just got to stop my brain from creating new ideas....such as..... no, I don't want to commit suicide!

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

Mommy!

Sniff.

Sniff.

Ok, whatever, on to the continuous timeline of important dates until now.

May 23: My classmate and friend on Biology has his birthday that day. Oh, and he was very smart on Biology, too. He's probably the best in that class, a girl that looks Asianish (though I don't really want to offend her) would be second best, and I considered myself the third best...I think I told you that already.... did I?

I don't want to put the names here in case people try to look for them, if you wanted to know the names. I have to ask their permission.

Anyways, today is March 24, so I have nothing to do....beside posting this... well, post.

I'm kind of surprised if you actually read through all of this.

Though this doesn't seem to be too long.

Ok, bye bye.

I felt bored. Then I went to my email and was going to annoy a couple of my friends and then..........

I remember that I had a blog and so..........

Welll......

I think you get it.

So I don't really feel bored anymore... I hope.

Anyways, I, Anonymous Xylophones, will introduce you to my newest friend.....

More stuff........ Just great......

Before I get into my short yet boring speech, I want to ask something.

Has anyone took AMC 10 before?

I mean, this is my second time, and AMC 10 is starting on Februrary 6.... I least I think it is.

I don't want to sound like a total... well, math nerd, but I am hoping to get to AIME.... hopefully.

Not to mention my dad trying to encourage me to try to get there anyways.

Now.....

It is time!

It's time for my speech!

Uhh......

Hang on for a minute.

Well, I don't really want people to hang on to something for a minute, but you get the point.

.......

Stop! I'm thinking!

..................

Go away! Didn't I already say that?

...............................

Ahah! I shall tell about my addiction to drugs! Oh, wait, I don't have drugs........

Errr................................

Ah! I shall tell about how chickens conquered the world! Oh, they didn't? Oh well.......

.......................................................

I'm bored. I think I'm going to sleep.

Forgive me........

Bye Bye!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

Midterms are stupid and aren't very fun.
So when you get one....
Errrr..... run, run, run!

Oh, I like cakes... and Christmas.... and, oh, I think I failed.

Midterms just started yesterday and... well, you could guess what happened.

But I'll look on the bright side, at least there's a few more days left.

I think that I should be studying right now... so, errrr.... I don't think that I will post a chapter until, well... Tuesday. I'm just sleepy on Mondays.

Sorry, but... I'm going to do it! I'm positive!

Saturday, December 23, 2006

2 more days, everyone!!!!

Just 2 more!!!!

Just 2 more days!!!!

Can you stand it?

............

No?

Me either.

But I was hoping you said that you can.

...................

You did?

Oh well.

Anyways, yesterday was the greatest time of my freshman year.... so far.

I watched 3 different movies and had time to do my remaining homework.

The only thing that I regret is dancing with my teacher during my spanish class.....

But still, 4-1, it's better than anything else so far.

Time for me to work on the next chapter (finally a break!!!!).

I bet you are all anxious right now.

.......................

You're not?

Ah phooey.

Anyways....

I'm a duck!

Okay, that was random.

Cheese and Crackers!!!!

Okay, that was randomer..... if that's even a word.

Okay, time for a random topic.... though you wouldn't be surprised that it's going to be random.

So to surprise you...

I'm going to tell something not random.

But I just told you!

So I have to switch!

Now I'll tell something random..... I just told you, didn't I?

Okay, ready?

On the count of 3.....

1......

2.......

3......

Fruitcakes! And if Jimminy Cricket was in real life, he would be eaten by Geico Gecko.

I bet you're surprised.

If not, then this would be surprising.

Christmas is approximately 172,800 seconds away.

Yes, I did use a calculator...

Amd no, I'm not the calculator....

I'm funny, aren't I?

...................

I'm not?

Why you darn little person with your stupid, big and loud mouth!!!!!!!

I'm going to hunt you down and shred you to little pieces!!!!

If you think I can't do that, then that's where you're wrong!!!! I'm in contact with the police for the violence that I'm not funny.

................................

See, the police are laughing at me!

Therefore, I'm funny and you're not!!!

Ok, I'm joking.

After all, it's 2 days till Christmas.

And this is a rather long post, isn't it?

Therefore, I will end this post and shock you at the same time.

MERRY
CHRISTMAS!!!!
Shocking, isn't it?
Ok, fine....
SHOCK!!!!!!!!

Merry Christmas, Everyone!!!!

Hark the herald angels sing "Glory to the newborn king
Peace on Earth and mercy mild, God and sinner reconciled
Joyful all ye nations rise, join the triumph of the skies
With angelic host proclaim, Christ is born in Bethlehem."
Hark the herald angels sing, glory to the newborn king.

It's Christmas time!

Well, almost.

For more lyrics on Christmas songs, click here (come on, you know you want to)

Meanwhile, I'm enjoying my cup of tea.

-Slurp-

Ahhhhhh, there's nothing more like a cup of tea.

...........................

Actually, I'm having hot chocolate.

.............................. I bet you all are jealous (or maybe not).

And I have the most annoying site yet.

You don't believe me?

Fine. I'll show you.

Ready?

Set.

Click! And good luck on passing it.

Ummm.... happy late thanksgiving?

I'm a bit late, but I wanted to congradulate everyone a happy thanksgiving.

A pity that I was busy myself during that day.... heh.

And...

I came up with a apple juice song (you all are probably going to ask me why, but I'll explain it... later)

Oh, one more thing....

It's in the theme of jingle bells ( I know it's not Christmas, but it's almost December, right?).

~Apple juice, apple juice,
Apple juice galore.
After I drink some apple juice,
I always want some mooorrrreee.~

~Apple juice, apple juice,
Apple juice galore.
After I drink some apple juice,
I won't get any soooooorrrrrreeeeeessssss.~

Somehow, I think it's random and a bit stupid.

At least it will be out of my head.

But it might be in yours!

.......

Where's my evil laugh when I need it?

Oh, evil laugh. Where are you?

Ha, got ya!

Mwahahahahahahahahahahaaaaa!

Ok. The reason it was apple juice was because I was drinking apple juice at that time.

Satisfied?

No?

Didn't think so.

Well, either way you have to be satisfied because I'm not going to talk about it anymore.

Now, what was I doing?

..........................

Errrmmmm.......

Errrrrrrrrrrrr.........

Ummmmmmmmmmmm...........

Oh, who cares? I hate thinking nor do I want to think now.

Anyways, got to go now.

I don't want to be grounded....

So...

Goodie Byie!

Yay! I finished!

Guess what?

...

Well, you won't be able to guess it anyways.

I finished my second story!

Hip, Hip, Hooray!

Now I must finish my first one....

Monday, November 06, 2006

Oops.

Uhhh... there was a typo in the previous post. It wasn't October 28.

Otherwise I would've said something about halloween.

It's actually Monday, November 6.

Oh and if this one is messed up too, then let me tell you.

This post is at Monday, November 6.

Okay?

Saturday, October 28, 2006

Ah, phooey!

I can't believe it!

I just said that for no reason at all.

But I can say this.

I can't do anything currently about the story.

Three reasons:

1) Too much school homework.

2) And second, I'm obsessed right now with a new game I bought. I mean, who wouldn't be obsessed when they get a new game?

3) My school lost to second place on the second math meeting.... How depressing.

So basically, expect me to write in a day, give or take a month or two.

Unfortunately, I'm serious.

Now.... I must study.

To tell you the truth, I almost never study.

But now I have too.

How ironic.

Hip Hip Hooray!

I'm so sorry I haven't updated for a long time. Blame it on the.... the school! Yeah! Blame it on the school! Not to mention the first math competition two days ago. It was tiring.

Oh, yeah. The math thingy!

The math team went to Wilton High School. You won't believe the size! It's even bigger than my school! It has two floors, and two different buildings connected with a skywalk hallway with glass windows on the second floor!

But enough of that. Now about the math thingy.

Imagine my surprise when I saw Jason Hoch during the math competition!

I'm guessing whoever is reading this won't know Jason Hoch, so let me explain.

I met Jason three times during my life (excluding the math competition two days ago), two times during a different math competition (aka MathCounts): One as a sixth grader and one as a seventh. I didn't meet him as eighth because he was a ninth grader by that time.

He's the only person that I would consider having a better and faster math knowledge than me (no offense).

Of course, we haven't met each other for a year, so we'll recall each other later.

But besides that, my high school came first place (99 points). Wilton (Jason's high school) came in second (90). That's pretty close, if you ask me.

Actually, I'm also glad that my school won because I would've owed my science teacher homework. That explains why I could post this thing.

So anyways....

A Wierd Story's next chapter going to take a week, give or take a month...

I'm quite busy with the oneshot I told you all about. It's almost done... I think.

And that's about it. Sorry for not posting for a while. A long while, actually.

The evolution of cooperation!

I just remembered! From now on, I'll start talking about random things that I find interesting, okay? Some might be interesting...

And some might not.

Such as...

The evolution of cooperation!

Well, I got the idea from a book that my mom had checked out (all the books were put together). The title is The Evolution of Cooperation.

Anyhow, it talks about whether you should cooperate with people, such as a friend if he/she doesn't do anything in return or you try to cooperate with strangers. The main question is that should you cooperate, or should you not?

Strangely, this is quite similar to a Game Theory program that I went to during the summer of 2005.

For example, it talks about the...

Prisoner's Dilemna!

It's a perfect example of one such ways in whether you cooperate or not.

Here's a diagram:

---------------Player 2 doesn't confess. ----Player 2 confesses.
_____________________________________________

Player 1 doesn't---------(0, 0) --------------------(-2, 1)
confess.

Player 1 confesses.------(1, -2) --------------------(-1, -1)

First of all, the numbers in the paranthesis are payoffs (the value of the outcome for the player; the higher the payoff for the player, the better it is for him or her). Also note that the first payoff is for the row player, while the second is the payoff for the column player.

This is how the story goes:

The two players are two prisoners, arrested for a joint crime, who are being interrogated in seperate rooms. The clever district attorney tells each one that

- if one of them confesses and the other does not, the confessor will get a reward (payoff +1) and his partner will get a heavy sentence (payoff -2).

- if both confess, each will get a light sentence (payoff -1).

And,

- if neither confesses, both will go free (payoff 0).

Now, there is no communication, so both would be after their own interests.

Notice that if either one confess, they each would have a better payoff no matter what the other chose.

Unfortunately, this applies to both, so if they both confess, then they both would get a sentence, which is worse than if they both hadn't confess.

Strange, isn't it?

Mwahahahahaaa!

Yes! I've done it! I've almost completed the new oneshot that I wrote about earlier! Hurray! Now, all I need to do is finsih typing it. Now, how long would that take?

Hmmm...

Urrmmmm...

Errrrrmmm...

Oh, who cares? I'll finish it as soon as possible.

By the way...

Hmmmm...

Here's my evil laugh:

Meow! Meeeeeee Owwwwww!

Okay, that's not it. But who cares?

I'm too busy with my homework! Talk about having too much at high school! I'm trying to join a math team, for heaven's sake! I'm afraid that I won't have enough time to update as quickly.

Anyways, high school is okay... after I got used to it. Still, it's a bit annoying. I really do like to meet other people and make new friends... but I really do hate having to do the homework.

But what can I do about it?

Nothing! ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!

Oh, well. I try to finish preparing for a science quiz on Monday (and thankfully, that's my first quiz!)

Now... I wonder what I should say?

How about...

...

...

...

Oh, why should I even bother?
